Joan Ng’ang’a is a newly admitted advocate who is a proud addition to our team at O&M Law. She has a strong background in Corporate and Technology law and has considerable expertise and experience in start-up or investor advisory. She has advised numerous start-ups on compliance through an investor readiness programme initiated by her at O&M Law including advising over 65 start-ups hosted under a Canadian government-backed initiative. She deeply understands the practical nitty-gritty workings of law and technology and has an ability to predict the larger-scale impact of their interaction.

Despite taking a much more keen interest in Information and Communications Technology Law, she is also well versed with other areas of the legal field, and the software engineering field. She would be at home in either a legal strategy meeting or as part of an advisory team for a software requirements engineering process.

She has represented clients in a broad range of corporate and transactional matters, including drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, debt and equity financings, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and securities compliance.
